Scream (1996)

[Movie 106 / Day 72]

Scream reinvented a genre. It came out at a time when the teenage slasher flick was more or less dead; and through inventive in-jokes, comedy and gore it revitalised the whole genre.

It’s clever, it’s witty, and it still holds up well after 12 years (I almost can’t believe it’s been that long since I walked into Bedford cinema to watch it)… I still love it.

My rating: 7.5 / 10
IMDB rating: 7.2 / 10
Running time: 111 mins
